Research, Innovation and Training are the bases on which INDEX has focussed its commitment since the start of its business activities.
Founded in 1978, in a short time it became one of the leading companies in the world for the manufacture of technologically advanced waterproofing materials designed to protect Residential, Commercial and Industrial Buildings, Large-scale works and Civil Engineering. In the early ’80s this production was diversified by launching new systems and products on the market. INDEX is present in all Italian regions with over 100 distributors in the main countries of the five continents. Through its Engineering sector it has sold production lines and Know-How to the USA, Japan and China. In May 2019 it became part of Sika, a specialised chemical company with a leading position in the development and production of systems and products for bonding, sealing, dampening, reinforcement and protection in the construction industry and automotive industry.
INDEX is organised into six Divisions that manufacture advanced Systems and Materials for the construction market:
1st division
Waterproofing membranes, special, special multifunctional and for the protection of man and environment. Super-adhesive waterproofing membranes: self-adhesive, self-heat-adhesive and heat-adhesive. Waterproofing and transpiring under-tile sheets. Canadian-style bituminous shingles.
2nd division.
Thermal insulation, in rolls and panels, coupled with waterproofing membranes.
Acoustic and thermal insulation materials for floorings, walls, ceilings and roofs.
3rd division.
Liquid products for refurbishing asbestos cement sheeting,
primers, waterproofing liquids, paints, mastics for insulation panels and sealants.
4th division.
Damp-proofing renders, finishing coats restoration and renewal of historical and modern buildings.
Waterproofing cements, controlled-shrinkage mortars and protective materials for concrete and masonry.
5th division.
Products for laying ceramic tiles, natural and composite stones, mosaics and wood.
6th division.
Products for roads and motorways.
